Elise Nordling is an artist and music industry professional living in the Bay Area, California. From her internet radio station Indie Pop Rocks! on SomaFM to her day job at Spotify, she is immersed in music. She is also a traditionally trained artist, specializing in oil painting on canvas and drawing.
MUSIC
Elise has been working in the music industry for a long time, as supporting other creatives is one of her biggest passions in life.
She is currently the MD and DJ for Indie Pop Rocks!, Folk Forward, and Christmas Rocks! on SomaFM. Elise came to SomaFM as the Music Director and DJ for Indie Pop Rocks! in 2001. Drawing on her many varied years of experience in the music industry, her passion for indie rock finds a perfect home at SomaFM. She is also the Music Director and DJ
for Folk Forward and the seasonal Christmas Rocks! stations.
Additionally, Elise currently works on the Songwriter and Publishing Partnerships team
at Spotify.

Elise is never happier than when she’s making art. She mostly works with oil on canvas, graphite and colored pencil on paper, photography, and making sculpture out of found objects (especially sand on beaches!)
